On-Campus housing registration is open
and done as part of the normal conference registration process.
In addition to on-campus housing options described at the end of this page, there are several hotels located near the CSU campus. These are marked on the following map, and described further below. The Fort Collins Visitor Bureau also has a comprehensive list of additional local accommodations ranging from Bed & Breakfasts in historic Old Town to major hotel chains located through the city.
Fort Collins Hilton – the preferred conference hotel.
A block of discounted rooms is set aside for ASV participants and should be reserved by May 13 at the latest (but may sell out before). These rooms can be booked here or by calling the Hilton directly at (970) 482-2626 and requesting the American Society for Virology room block.
Best Western University Inn is located on College Avenue adjacent to the campus. 888-484-2984 or 970-484-2984.
The Armstrong Hotel is a renovated landmark hotel in the heart of Old Town Fort Collins, ≈1 mile from campus and close to the MAX rapid transit line. 866-484-3883 or 970-484-3883.
The Elizabeth Hotel offers luxury rooms and suites in the heart of Old Town Fort Collins and is about one mile from the campus. 970-490-2600.
Quality Inn & Suites is ≈3 miles from campus and a short half mile walk from the Troutman or Horsetooth stations on the city’s MAX rapid transit system. 970-282-9047.
Fort Collins Marriott is ≈2.5 miles from campus and a half mile walk from the Horsetooth station on the city’s MAX rapid transit system. 970-226-5200.
The city’s MAX transportation system running north-south along the Mason St/College Avenue corridor facilitates transportation from hotels in historic Old Town or southern Fort Collins – you will want to use the University Station stop. MAX costs $1.25 per ride and runs from 5am – midnight on Monday through Saturday and 8am – 7pm on Sunday. You will need to find your own transportation if staying further away in one of the many hotels on the eastern side of town (e.g. along Harmony or Mulberry Roads).
Reservation Deadline is May 15, 2020
The minimal reservation for accommodations in the university residence halls is for June 13-17 and includes four nights (June 13-16) and four breakfasts (June 14-17). Reservations for up to two extra nights (Friday, June 12th and Wednesday, June 17th) can be made when you register, and please contact Conference Services (970-491-6222) if you wish to add additional nights beyond this.

$82/night single, $60/night/person double
- Suite – Single or double room with shared bathroom, air conditioned
$75/night single, $55/night/person double
- Traditional – Single or double room, community bathroom, air conditioned
$65/night single, $45/night/person double
We anticipate that a large number of single rooms will be available. However, in the unanticipated event that you desire a single room but none are available when your request is received, you will be assigned to a double room with a roommate.
For double occupancy accommodations, you may indicate a preferred roommate when you register; otherwise, a same gender roommate will be assigned. Please ensure, however, that your preferred roommate also registers for campus housing and indicates you as their roommate preference.
Bed linens and a towel will be provided, but you should bring your own clothes hangers, alarm clock, and other personal items (soap, shampoo, etc). A hot breakfast will be provided Sunday through Wednesday morning in the assigned University dining center and is included in the per person rate.
